Crossing The Line - Full Length Trailer (2007)

[Joseph Hutson]

A few of you got to see the full length film of Crossing the Line in 4K at NAB a couple or three years ago.

More of you have seen the 35sec of footage posted at http://red.cachefly.net/video/crossing1.mov

But a lot of you only have heard about the cameras "Natasha" and "Boris".

After finding this online, I thought you guys might find some enjoyment in seeing this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpTHFVBlm_A

Keep in mind it's not 4K...not even 1080p. But it's cool nonetheless.

Comparing with the last one:

...we can take a look over the differences, nothing to neglect though

I enjoyed seeing the film in full 4K projection at RAI Convention Center at IBC in Amsterdam in September 2007, this whole trailer used to be posted somewhere, I have it stored on my main Mac in 1080P, almost forgot.

If you have seen the trailer, you have pretty much seen the film, there isn´t too much of a story in the longer version. I am not trying to be a critic, I am in awe of what they managed to get out of Boris and Natasha in such a short time, but it was a test, and the story (or lack thereof) reflects that.

Still I had a great time seeing it, and anticipating the release of RED ONE (It was actually technically released, the first 50 cams where out, when I saw it)

It´s a part of cinema history now!

Back in the day, several of us redusers hosted mirrors to the 1080p ProRes version of this. I'm sure it's still online somewhere. I have it in my archives and would have to dig for it. I thought it was on RED's Cachefly, but I guess not.

That'd be cool if you could find it. I'd love to watch it on the TV in 1080p since 4K is out of the question...

The moment I saw it at the IBC in 2007, I decided to go RED!

Jeff would love if you find the ProRes, youtube doesn't do it justice.
