  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Crimson Christmas!!

Let's see...
At NAB Ian wanted to present a build, that could remote-control redalert for some sort of preview functionality. Unfortunatelly this did not work at that time, but I overheard him talking to Rob Lohan, if he could make Ian access certain levels of the code. Rob just pointed to an SDK, and crimson did not have a major update for some time now...

So I suggest, that CrimsonCine is not too far away?

Cool! I am very much looking forward!

What I proposed at that time was making RedAlert fully scriptable or open sourcing portions of RedAlert. This is essentially the same as releasing an SDK.

Ian, I'm looking forward to the update. Crimson is essential to my current workflow. Excited to hear that its about to get better.

Ian, will this new Crimson be a free upgrade for those of us that bought your existing one, or is it a whole new purchase? Or a partial upgrade?

Ian, you're a star - I'll chime in as well on the "Crimson is my favourite workflow" bandwagon - we use it for literally every finish we do...

When I next find myself in NY, you've got a good few beers coming your way mate, and no doubt!

Happy coding...
Dom.
