[Jeremy Haccoun]

Remember the early Spielberg era of the 80s? The Goonies? Indiana Jones? BEYOND is an 8 minute-action sequence about a family on a road trip through the California desert. When a rock fall traps his parents inside the burning car, a 7 year-old boy must find the hero within him in order to save their lives. More at http://www.beyond-short.com

Our shoot dates are Oct 21-31 (9 days) in Los Angeles. 1st week in a ranch in LA, 2nd week in the desert (Hotel is provided). The director has shot commercials for Coors, Xbox, Disney, Subaru and recently directed Leonardo DiCaprio in an action commercial campaign launched in China. All positions are paid $100 per shoot day + credit, copy, meals on set, travel expenses and hotel in the desert. The goal is to create an outstanding showcase for everyone involved and generate tons of buzz in the industry early 2014. We are currently looking for:

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
The story of Beyond is set in the desert and is an ideal opportunity to create stunning shots. Strong contrasts, backlight, chiaroscuro, flares, sweaty faces, smoke, etc. We’re ideally looking for a DP who owns a Red camera and/or can help us get gear for free, recommend or bring along his own camera crew.

STEADICAM OPERATOR/OWNER
Lots of action, lots of moving/running shots.

PRODUCTION MANAGER (prep & shoot)
It’s going to be a challenging shoot with lots of action, stunts, fire and a child. We need a skilled, highly motivated production person to help us organize the shoot in LA and in the desert.

STUNT COORDINATOR
A lot is about our 7 year-old doing all kinds of heroic things: operating an excavator, falling, running, jumping, etc.

PYROTECHNICIAN
The story involves a burning wreck and a pool of gas catching fire.

HAIR & MAKE-UP ARTIST
Blood, sweat, dirt, bruises, cuts, etc. You'll be making the heroes look rough and dirty.

COSTUME DESIGNER
Wardrobe for our family of 3; Mom, Dad and 7-year-old Leo.

STUDIO TEACHER
We'll have 2 child actors on set, 6-9 years old.

SOUND CREW
On-Set Production Sound Mixer/Boom operator with their own equipment.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS
Please specify if you have art department experience, driving large trucks/vans, phone skills.
