I would like to start a thread where people can post inspiring music videos. Music videos is a very interesting genre, because they offer great creative freedom packed in a limited amount of time, and have a wide range of budgets.

Pop promos offer a great way of getting inspiration whenever you have just a few moments to spare. (Plus, they might just get you interested in music you've otherwise never had listened to.)

This is not a place to discuss the videos, only to post links to the videos. Neither is it the place to show off your own projects. But do feel free to add a little description of what you liked about the particular video you are posting.

I'll kick it off with a video shot by danish Anders Holck, which I believe is called "Bag om kameraet" by UFO Yepha feat. Anna David. http://postroom.dk/web/index.html

Has a very rich look, nice lighting changes and high production value, all within a $10k budget. Freshly different from the usual rap videos, but staying within its genre. Love it.

Totally different in tone is Hold Your Horse's "70 Million": http://www.vimeo.com/9752986 Very creative use of art history, fun, lighthearted, just excellent.

"This Too Shall Pass" by OK Go

Not just one, but two amazing videos for the same song.

EDIT: You can see an interactive floor-plan from the shoot here: http://www.okgo.net/files/ttsp/FloorPlan_TV.html

Spoiler
Both seem to be one continuous take that gets more and more complex.
While both are incredible, I like the first one because it starts of as a home-made music video, and then it just gets bigger and bigger, and more technical and expensive.

this is one of the weirdest/best music videos I've seen in a long time, with a catchy song to boot. And of course the Maya Daren reference is something a lot of us on Reduser should be able to appreciate.

another one I really really like is an Estonian music video directed by a coursemate of mine(3'rd year audiovisual media in Baltic Film and Media school in Estonia) which is really really good in my humble opinion, and was finished just a few months ago [I had nothing to do with the production/shooting of this video, except going to the same school as the director and the crew goes]

And another video from the same director, which is older(this was shot by 2'nd year media students), but is probably one of my favorite Estonian videos ever. The budget on this one was about ~150$ considering all costs so the quality is as it is, but the video itself is just pure awesome, and shows what you can make with pure enthusiasm and a great idea[again I had nothing to do with the making of this video]

I wrote two blogs on the subject and will just link them here (to avoid the discussion restriction) and then link the videos they reference afterwards (you do NOT have to sign up to the site to read the blog, no tricks).

Music Video Blog 2 (about finding humanity)

Videos referenced:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=WcwweoJDkV0 - Rare goth video that really help sells the band

http://youtube.com/watch?v=n1wnOUH2jk8 - captures the mood of the music nicely

http://youtube.com/watch?v=w28ZREQe3_Q - really sells the artist and makes her very endearing and special which imho is why she took off from this.

First off, what an AWESOME thread. For some inexplicable reason, I adore music videos. Strange, quirky, background passion of mine.

Second, here's an oldie, but if you haven't seen it, well, it literally made my jaw drop the first time I realized what the "gimmick" was, and my jaw stayed agape for the rest of the video. In my opinion, possibly Michele Gondry's best piece of work:
