  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Could Nolan use EPIC to achieve his IMAX dream shoot?

That would explain the Abel Cine Tech connection. I agree that the Phantom 65 would be a good starting point for IMAX. Now if they go and build a sensor the size of IMAX, that would be insane.

Very interesting, a Phantom IMAX. By my calculations, it's not a long way off either. The Phantom 65 sensor is already huge - 51x30. 70x43 will get you to IMAX. A ~35% increase in dimensions and ~80% increase in area. A similar increase as going from S35 to FF35. In short a 6K Phantom IMAX will be quite incredible. That is a hell of a lot of data to shift, though!
