Friends,

We know that many of us are having big trouble with corrupt frames.

Let's make a list and sign a big email to Red asking for an explanation. We also know that they're giving vague answers that make us think that they don't have any idea of what's happening with our cameras.

Please, send me an email with your camera model, serial, firmware and a small relate of the problem. I'll organize it and send it to Red.

My email is clever@granadafilmes.com.br

Thanks.

OK, you're having problems, you're upset or whatever. Please contact RED and get proper support for this problem. Spamming the same thing to several different forums here is not how you go about doing this. I'm not so sure this list is that helpful either. If you have a problem, report it and get help.

I reported my problem and I didn't get any help from Red. I just want to make the list to Red see that this is a problem from many users, not isolated cases. Maybe this will help them to find the solution. I think you moderated my topic that I was telling my problems and trying to get any help from redusers. I don't think it was nice. There are other people with their cameras stopped because of that. We are all workers trying to do our jobs. But Red isn't helping us. Think about that.

Hi Patrick,

I'll send it, but there's another guy called Tim that send his camera and received it back without any fixing. I think Red should give us more explanation about what's happening. Just want that.

I agree with Jeff, just because you have a particular problem doesnt mean you need to start a how many of these are there forum. I know we all want answers. I had a corrupt frame problem but at the end of the day it could have been a number of things from cables, express 34 Esata card, to toaster slot drive to a slow drive, SSD mag not seated properly, vibration, EMF,, whatever. There are so many other factors in what could be causing the problem that I didn't say he RED what gives with my camera. I contacted them and worked through the problem. I didn't think they were being vague with me. There were times I wish they could give me more info but they may have not had it to give at the time.

We all like to think that our particular problem is the only one that matters at the time we are standing knee deep in that problem, and that because our camera is at RED the whole repair dept should be just standing around our camera with their hands to their chins thinking we got to get this camera up and running for this guy. Sorry a bit of a rant there..Close to home.

I would love to see more folks have less problems with corrupt files. That way I have a little better comfort zone that if everything is running well for others than I don't have to worry when it's going to happen to me.

Not going aggro here but I had probably the same thoughts you have when you see a corrupt file or frame. Red worked well with me to see if we could figure out what could be done or figured out what had caused it. I didn't feel they just said hey there you go heres your camera and nothing could be seen wrong with your camera so here you go.

All Im really trying to say is make sure you have problem checked every possible cause before just blaming the camera or RED. Or starting a list of everyone who has that problem... what good does that do other than now we know a lot or not so many have that problem. Try to use the thread to find out how to fix the problem not just point fingers...
Im sure they are aware of almost every bug or issue that is creeping up with their cameras as it is very well documented almost as soon as it happens on this forum and when you fill out a support ticket.
I know I still am not sure what caused my particular problem but at the end of the day I sure learned that there are a lot more variables that could cause the problem than just the camera. And I will be double checking files and clips for a long time before I just shoot for a full day and not take a look.

If this camera was a finished product....not one of those problems were listed here....unfortunately red made a lot of steps forward with those new cameras but still a scientific camera where every week we have an update....sometimes sounds cool but most of the time is annoying and shows that they continually are trying to make it workable....I am so tired of it!
Now I understand why people laugh at me when I ask them to wait because I have to reboot the fucked up camera....now a cable...now a ssd module...now the side handle...now the battery module...come on...lets be awake and not dream all the time!
RED PLEASE OR YOU FIX THOSE ISSUE OR GET BCK THOSE BUGGY CAMERAS FROM THE MARKET????
I WISH YOUR CARS WERE BUGGY IN THE SAME WAYS!!!! YOU WILL RUN AT RANGE ROVER CRYING???PRAYING TO FIX IT BECAUSE YOUR NEXT DATE CANNOT BE WITNESS OF GETTING STOCKED ON A FREEWAY.....THIS IS FOR US A BUSINESS AND NOT A JOKE!!!
