Cool to shoot in Belize?

When I went there, my buddy and I stayed after closing and went to the top of the main pyramid. At the top were two American babes who apparently had the same plan. Score! We hung out with them until like 3AM, and then we had to find our way out of the park, under dense jungle canopy, in the pitch black. We could barely see our hands in front of our faces. We hadn't planned to stay, so we had no flashlight, and we got a little lost on our way out, plus the girls had smoked us out, so we were extra paranoid. Every sound was a "jaguar" stalking us. Lol, good times.

Funny, I'd seen two girls go up firt and then two guys later. Coincidence or common event

I was out at around 2am once and even without being smoked out I was totally paranoid with howler monkeys, birds, and a 1000 other things making noise just a few feet away from you. I tried to do long exposure night stuff but chickened out .

Night timelapse at the main pyramids would be amazing. Especially if you did it on just the right dates.

Yeah, seriously. Especially if you could get permission to shoot at night. I'm sure a nice little bribe could arrange it! Like you say, on the right night, under good conditions, the shots you could get there would be epic. Similar to the stuff Fricke got at those asian temples for Baraka.

Hey it might be worth it! Either that, or just sneak and hope that fellow knuckleheads aren't using flashlights at night to ruin a timelapse.

strange...had a very similar experience on top of the same pyramid, ended up staying together for a few weeks. I have some extachrome slides somewhere.
