I'm sure many of you have heard of the RED101 DVD that Jay Kelley is working on. Jay did a section in there on some Cool Lights products and we've posted it at the Cool Lights website in our gallery. I'm posting here to thank him for the hard work on this!

Not only a great source of information about the RED camera and its operation but also about products for it such as lighting and other third party accessories. You can find our section here:

It's really slick and the production values are high so please check it out. I know I'm going to want this set when its finished for all the good info packed into it on RED and accessories.

In our section, Jay talks about 3 of our most popular lines: the LED 600, portable fluorescent and CDM 150 "paraHMI" fresnel. He focused on these because they are all "RED daylight" friendly.

I have not seen all the DVD yet, but it looks to be pretty impressive if the other sections are half as informative as ours is. The Cool Lights section is one of some 30+ different programs on the DVD. Here's the link to the RED 101 website for more information:

Thanks again Jay...

Thanks Richard,

That was cool.. I'm glad you liked it. We're slamming really hard right now to get the final pieces in place. I expect the DVDs will release in Oct.

Got some last minute modules we're putting together.

Gonna be doing one on the Gearnxt (We've had them for a while, just waiting for something from them which should be in hand next week)

Also gonna be adding something on the new CineDeck HD before release.

There's a lot in these DVDs... Hope everyone enjoys them.

Talked to Richard a while back, about Cool lights products and my desire to give a try, and I must say that your video Jay, elegantly serves its purpose of informing those that might have an interest in this products, I found it very well executed and showcasing each product with detail and suffice to say I look forward to get coll lights fixture even more now :) great Job!

PS: Richard, as soon as I get back I'k order one of each of your fixture to give it a good try.

Thank you my friend. If you like the cool lights module, imagine 32 others that look at gear from :
ARRI
Cinetoys
Element Technica
Birger Engineering
Anton Bauer
Leader Electronics
DSCLabs
CineDeck
And the list goes on..

Not to mention Modules on RED...
That's where most of the material is.

You have no idea how much is on here... I hope everyone likes it.. It's been 7 months in the making.. Lots of work.. This is a history making camera and I wanted the DVDs to do it justice.

This definitely made my day!!! DVD???? Sweet!!

Jay....I always enjoy watching your videos and have learned soooo may tips from them. Priceless info that I've been able to apply. GREAT to hear you're putting this together.

Please add me to the "I want it right f***ing now" list. :hurray:
Pretty please.

Thanks Frank.. There are some other modules that will make it online in the next few days.

I expect the DVD will be out around the middle of Oct. I won't start takeing pre-orders until they are AT the duplicator. I want to be 100000% sure they will be out when I say they will be out.

:)

Hey Jay

Nice work buddy

Already have 4 600s but enjoyed the info on the HMI and flos.

l look forward to the vid on Gearnex.

I am too. I have seen some of the footage shot and was very impressed with what I viewed. Nice work Jay.

Hi Jay,

When will you post an entire chapter list of all that's in it? I'm sure many are hungry for this kind of information and it would be great to see what else is lined up for the 3 hours of material.

Great. The chapter list is the best way for people to know whats on the DVD and it also may spark a discussion about what else people may want to know about the RED camera as well as its accessories.
