Selling my set of Cooke Speed Panchros, rehoused by PS+ Technick.
I've had these for the past 2 years and they were serviced at AbelCine about a year ago. I bought them in original Arriflex mount from Stonecine, after a very long search (1.5+ years). I wanted an original matched set, all very late serial numbers (700,xxx's), with original coatings and no optical issues. These lenses are incredibly beautiful and in amazing shape and no lens presents yellowing (75mm is clear). What I love is how versatile they are. Wide open they have all the characteristics you'd expect from Vintage lenses: flare, a bit of vignette, softer contrast, less resolution. But when you stop them down a bit (even as little as going to a 2.8 or 2.8/4.0 split) they clean up very nicely, and I honestly prefer them to the S4s.
Set consists of:
18mm S3
25mm S3
32mm S2 (needs collimating and iris needs oiling, which I can do before the sale)
40mm S2
50mm S2
75mm S2
100mm S2
Asking price is $52,500 OBO (updated price).
Comes in a custom Pelican 1510 (carry-on for airplanes).Located in LA. Feel free to come check them out. New pictures posted below. Also attaching a link to some frame grabs of various projects that were shot with this set, by various DPs:
