Sorry to post this in two forums, but I'm really hoping to find out coverage of the S2/3 panchros on 6K 2:1. Anyone with a dragon have some panchros handy?

I know the 18/25 vignetted a bit at 5K MX, but are the tighter focal lengths 32/40/50 vignetting at 6K?

Thanks!

Most curious about the 32mm at 6K.

No one at all with Dragon and S2 Panchros???

Haha, I bet so...

Desperately still wanting to know if the 25 / 32 / 50 vignette at 6k. Thanks ahead of time!

Daniel,

hope is all well!

Probably they're too busy shooting with them!!

Hello Daniel,

we just got our first Dragon Camera, and our set of Cooke Panchros are delayed to the second week of June.
I will post the result of the tests as soon as we make them.

Regards,

Alvaro

Thanks a lot Alvaro!

Anyone else out there?

PS do cooke S5 cover 6k settings? Any cooke lovers know?

I have not tested it yet but I can tell you with almost certainty that the 25mm and 32mm will NOT cover 6k. I base this on the fact that these lenses porthole on the regular 5k Epic. I can also say that the 50mm definitely will cover 6k… I have used the 50mm cooke sII on a Sony A7R for stills and it covers full frame. Even the 32? Can anyone with a Dragon please confirm?

I took a full frame photo for you with the 32mm and the sony A7R on a white wall and set to infinity and wide open… You might be able to determine if the lens covers dragon. It just may cover but will port hole for sure.

Thanks for that Lyle, I see that the A7R is full frame. What exactly is Dragon 6K? I know it's a bit small than full frame, but how much smaller? EDIT: Looks like 1.17

Still would love to see it on Dragon at 6K to confirm.

Hi,

I've just quicktested a 25mm S3, a 32mm S2 and a 50mm S2. These are some stored lenses that we still have in Arri Std mount and remain un-rehoused. The three lenses cover 6K.

However, the 25mm suffers from incredibly severe light loss at the sides and only becomes usable at 5K. At 5K HD all the vigneting is gone.

Things get better with the 32mm, even though you can see the same effect at the sides. But it's OK at 5K.

50mm Panchro covers 6K without problem.

Hope this helps.

So the 32mm does not cover 6K FF.
Now I am hoping someone out there with a 40mm can let me know if it vignettes.
Thanks ahead of time!

the 40mm will cover dragon… it covers full frame with some light fall off

Thanks Lyle! So on your full frame Sony it vignettes only slightly? Do you have a still? Again, thanks so much.

I don't have the lens with me as I'm traveling... I can tell you that the lens doesn't vignette on full frame it only has some light fall off in the corners but the image circle covers the sensor... I'm sure you won't have an issue with dragon.
