I'm selling my beautiful Cooke Varotal 20-100, in great condition.
This lens has a classic, vintage quality to it, and works great on the digital sensors like Red. Compared to more modern lenses, it has a smoother, more "romantic" look which helps take the edge off digital.
The Varotal was a favorite of Stanley Kubrick and Steven Spielberg, and was probably used to shoot many of your favorite films!
This lens was overhauled by the renowned Van Diemen Lenses in 2013, and their test projector showed that this is one of the best they'd seen. It's been used for 2 projects after that.
Serial number shows that this was shipped from the Cooke factory in December 1986.
It comes with a custom case, 19mm support bracket and zoom lever. It has metric and imperial focus scales.
