We have recently shot roughly an hours worth of red footage (approx 92GB) which I have on the hard drive as separate red files. Our client now wants us to provide them with all the footage on HD Cam in 1080i format a rate of 59.94 fps
Can anyone advise the best way to do this?
Many thanks!

What are the specs of the Red footage?

4K?

What kind of post facilities do you have? Are you a Scratch owner? Do you have any conversion hardware?

Hi Steve,
Yes it's 4k, although some of the shots were shot high speed so are 3k (this is what I've been told, unfortunately I'm very new to Red so I'm not sure if that makes sense).
We have FCP HD, Apple Pro Res and Redrushes.
Many thanks for your help,
Laura

Okay, so you are at 23.976 fps, mostly 4K with some 3K thrown in. Best way to do this is to have a card like the Kona 3. You could then do one light correction of your Red footage (either proxies or transcoded to either 2K or 1080) and then play out from FCP to HDCAM using Kona control panel.

Do you have a Kona 3?

Laura-
There is a way to do this in real time to a tape will retain the Red source TC & Origin meta-data so that these tapes can be used in the future to match back to R3Ds.
Plus, color correction can be done in a professional timing bay if that is better for the client -similar to film telecine.
If you are still in need, please let me know.
