  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Converting Leica Apo-Telyt R focus module to PL mount

Someone sells 3 lenses in ebay in pl for 100k... I think real cost is 20k... If he sells them then it'll be really a good reason to change to pl and ebay them...
 
Battistella sold me a really nice EPIC Leica R lens board and that works great for the rest of my lenses but the Apo-Telyts (400mm/560mm/800mm)are just so large and heavy that I think a PL mount would add more strength and stability overall.

Saw that $100,000 APO set listed on E-bay. Duclos has a description of converting them on his blog. Apparently done for Samys.
 
You can get the whole set with all modules for $25-30k, paying $75k just to have them converted to PL seems like a complete waste when you can just get a EF mount and leitax mounts. On a side note they are some of the best telephoto lenses ever made.
