  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Does anyone know if an R3D 23.976fps edited project done in Pr Pro can be converted to 24fps in AE? (ie I want to maintain 16bit while outputting as a TIFF sequence).

I don't know much about PP, but if FCP, I'd dub the timeline (sequence) and "cut" (cmd + X or ctrl + X) all the clips including audio from the timeline, change the timeline setting to 24fps, paste all the clips including audio, and adjust your cuts accordingly if there's slight slip of pictures or audio sync. The longer your timeline is, the more of audio sync issue you may have.

I m amaized the industry still supports 23.97.
It's still very necessary for American television and Blu-ray.

Varispeeding digital files from 23.976 to 24.00 is trivial and fast. There are more considerations for audio post than anything else, but there's a solid workflow there as well.

As far as I know, DCPs are just 24fps and never 23.976. Haven't done a 25fps DCP.
