  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Control...

All this looks amazing ...
Just two questions :
1) Is the battery in the handle replaceable ? (not at the service center)
2) Is it possible to opperate the camera without battery (power outlet )

What would be really cool: Changing CF cards on the Gunner would require some pump-gun action.

Not a tool to take along to the airport, though... ;)

Seriously though - love the glimpse of the new ergonomics.

Cha-chank!

A CF card with all your importat footage is ejected away.

Logger jumps for his life and catch the damn card.

Definitely an adrenaline rush added to the set.

Redgun

Redgun

Somebody please explain what the hell a RED gun is. I'm racking my brain here trying to figure it out.

Not sure if this has been already answered, but here's my guess:

Notice the two ports at the bottom of the front of the brain in the following image:
Notice the two cables attaching to those ports with the Red Digital Cinema Logo in between as seen in the following image:
So the brain sits on your shoulder with the gun in front. I'm just hoping there are controls and a boom on the front of that gun! Nice work Red Team!

Red Gun...the name itself just sounds cool...even though the last red gun I kept in my hand was my Nintendo Zapper...those were the days...

Jim,

May i please see what any setup of "Epic" looks like on an O'conner 2060
just curious of the size difference compared to red
nothing major
nothing important
just curious fun.

Thanks

For the record, I don’t belief it’s the front of the Camera we’re looking at! I think we’re looking at the back of the New Epic X35/S35 Camera. What’s in the front of the Red Gunner is an I/O module to continue with all the Camera functions to the rear, there you can attach any Module as you wish. The numbers on top are of the same persuasion. There is a slide that runs between the shoulder pad and the rear module for adjustment. You can notice a button with a “V” like symbol on the right hand side of the “Camera Side” in whatever the I/O module is attached too, that can be a number of things. Whatever it is it’s not the Camera Module, that you can plainly see in the photo of the Camera module, it got a green led and an off on button.
