Good morning guys,

Have you seen anybody offering a control cable w/ right angle connectors?

Cheers,
Prio

I have a Komodo with the Small HD Focus Pro but need to streamline cabling. A right angle on the monitor side is needed.

You read my mind, I was hoping for the same thing. I'm not sure how likely it is though, considering it's about 500 usd for a new cable. Either they make a new cable and it's just as expensive, or they make a cheaper right angle connecter. When I say cheaper it'll probably be 499 lol

If they do release variations on the control cable (and I eat my words and pay whatever amount for it), I'd like to see them introduce a longer cable as well for handheld gimbal work. Something to at least match the length of my SDI cable.

I am having 2 custom cables built right now by https://thomsonvisualsstore.com/ both cables are costing me $300 total. LEMO connectors are expensive and I think a right angle was around $60. There is a LEMO connector that allows you to rotate to 8 different positions and that connector alone was $93. I needed 2 of those for my build. So it can get expensive for cables.

Your cables are so expensive because it takes some time to have them soldered or crimped. Most of the 300 bucks is for working hours and a 100% margin on the plugs. I ordered some plugs and sockets through LEMO directly and except for the Anglissimo plugs (which cost around 45 bucks per piece), I found the "normal" plugs to be somewhat reasonable priced (between 11 and 19 bucks). Anyway, in the end it just has to be a reliable cable, right? ; )
