I have a super clean set of Zeiss Contax Lenses that I am considering parting with to the right buyer.

I assembled this set, which consists mostly of the newer MMJ glass for my personal use. However, since I shoot commercials they mostly go unused as I mostly budget for PL glass... Cooke, Master Primes or similar.

This set fully covers the DRAGON sensor, as well as any future Full Frame options.

The set is exceptional. All the glass as been reviewed and given the full cine conversion by Matt Duclos. This includes: focus gears, declicked iris, common 80mm fronts, Arri lens caps, and conversion to EOS using high quality Leitax mounts. They come in a custom 8-hole foam 1510 pelican case designed for production use.

The set consists of a very well matched set with an emphasis on speed, especially at the wider end where you need it.

21mm f2.8 MM
28mm f2 AE
35mm f1.4 MM
50mm f1.4 AE
85mm f1.4 MM

135mm f2.8 MM
200mm f3.5 AE

I'm shooting out of town all next week but I'll take some photos when I get back and put them up. Can also supply the serial numbers as well to those interested.
The housings and optics are in perfect shape, everything shoots, focuses, and acts as its supposed to.

At this time I'm not really interested in breaking up the set.

Lemme know,

Paul

UPDATE: I have decided to remove this set from the market for now.

I made an edit to the original post. The starting price was $9500 but I've lowered it to $9000.

ditto, this is a gorgeous kit.

I have the 35, 50, 85 and 135 and they were sooooo worth the moolah. Amazing 'kit' lenses and heck even for jobs. And even Deakins shot a film on them at one time:

:)

Thanks.

Yep. I tried to get the absolute fastest Contax glass at the wide end. I mean, that's really when you need it, when you're in shooting in a car or a small room...the lenses should be quick.

If u wanna break the set, I'll buy a few lenses

EF Mount?

Kinda surprised here. I've gotten tons of interest on twitter, but very little interest it the set here on RU.

In my opinion its easily the best, most complete set of cine glass that can be had for under 10K...and every lens covers the Dragon sensor.

Shot this for HBO last year, primarily using this same set: http://www.helloandcompany.com/directors/18-Schneider#video1524

This could be due to everyone on reduser being educated by Nick ;) Many of us already started on building out our contax collections and maybe only need one or two to complete them.

The 21 and maybe the 135 pique my interest, if the set gets broken up.

Quite possibly.
