I am considering selling my Matthews MC88 crane. I bought this about 4 years ago and I have yet to use or rent it. I have a tendency to collect movie equipment but I'm afraid in this case, my eyes were bigger than my stomach in that my regular job prevents me from actively pursuing rentals with this baby.
It is a great medium size crane & easy to set up. The rolling base was custom built by a race car chassis builder & has 2 or 4 wheel steering. It also comes with (but not photographed) a base for mounting to a wooden truck bed. I believe this is one of only 3 made.

Camera can be either under or over slung & sorry, it does not come with a remote head, but you can pick one up real cheap here:

The crane also comes with custom built 14' trailer I had made (also not photographed yet) with a roll on back gate.
Here are some basic specs:
Reach (measured from centerpost to center of camera mount)
Min: 12'
Medium: 16’
Long: 20’
Full: 24’
Backswing: 7.5’
Lens heights: 16’, 19’, 22’, 25’ height to lens, underslung.
Add aprox 3’ when on camera car.
I guesstimate I have spent about $28,000 on this baby. I'm not fully expecting to get I what paid for it... I am essentially testing the waters here... So feel free to drop a line or comment or offer...
This item is in the Los Angeles area.
Thanks for looking!
