Here is how I had the Red Drive cable positioned with the cage mounted on top mount. It was out of the way so it didn't block any buttons, and didn't stick out too far from the back of the camera to get caught on something.

They already make USB wireless devices that fit inside the form factor of the connector. You guys can do better than that!

Maybe the Red Raid could sit on a nice warm bed of pillows and get its data fix over the airwaves.

Jarred, I think this is a big improvement, however ideal would be either 2 o'clock or 9 o'clock where the cable would be out of the way, but also would not stick out on the side, which may be a problem with tight underwater housings. Either way, I want one. Can I have a 10m length of cable with it so that the camera could fly on a crane and the drive stay safely on solid ground?

Kidding aside, that's the only way Lemo makes them, but we are seeing if we can get custom keyed right angles out of them, because like you, I love my right angles too
