  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Congrats to Tom

Congrats Tom! When will you come to Mainland China?
Drop me a message before you come.
Cheers!

Wow I woke up and was pretty stunned to hear about this! It's quite an honor for me, considering that I was just sitting around drinking beer and fooling around with some homemade timelapse gear when I took this shot.

Perry, I am exploring the idea of shooting an IMAX film in China as my next project. I can't wait to get back to China!! I might come over for a visit in January or sometime this winter. I will definitely drop you a note if I do.

who said that drinking beer and sitting around all night long don't pay off?

Whoa, Tom. Congrats, man!

Wooohooo, look forward to having a beer with you Tom...hopefully be capturing award winning stuff at the same time, I dig your style...haha. For real...bravo mate!

I love it! What did you use to illuminate the Bristlecone pine?

Hehe. That light was an accident. I had my 5D2 on my old moco dolly, firing off static test shots. I turned on a little camping lantern and my LED headlamp while I was adjusting the legs on my tripods.... and the light spilled onto the tree for a couple of frames. It was only later, when I was processing the timelapse, that I noticed the tree was lit in that frame.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys.

Serendipity strikes again!

But it seems the better you are, the luckier you get.

Congrats Tom! Beautiful shot. You´ve got the eye and the skill to become the contemporary Ansel Adams with your great work.
Best wishes,
Marc

Congrats Tom!, best.

Holy crap Tom! Congratulations! Pretty soon we're all going to be able to say "we knew you when!"

Awesome! Would love to shoot with you sometime! Perhaps when my Epic arrives!

Cheers,

Omar
