Actually yes I've read Altered Carbon and dug the hell out of it. Also read two drafts of scripts they were trying to make. Love the whole Needlecast thing...

Re: shooting on Red - too early to say at this point! (esp. since I'd want to shoot with anamorphic lenses)

Cheers!

Well done Ruairi! Delighted for you. I had a bet on you that you would get confirmation of the deal. I owe you a few pints!

Now its down to Paddy Powers for the Oscar Nomination list 2010! I guess the phone wont stop ringing now for job opportunities on set so Ill get my pitch in first for runner, tea/coffee maker, general dogs body etc., etc.

I wandered through your site. Your are establishing new horizons in self-irony. :)

Congrats!

And if you need a totally useless Eastern character on set, gimme a call .

Congratulations!

I hope the studio execs and/or PR people don't censor your website though...!

Just signed up here to say Congrats to Ruairi. I came from dvxuser. When I first signed up at dvxuser I came across your thread about silent city I loved the film and watched your 50% grey, very inspirational. This is a well deserving break for you I know you will do Akira justice!

Altered Carbon was great....Ever read Snow Crash?

Another awesome sci-fi book.

Ah, anamorphic, that's the route I'd go as well, New Manhattan couldn't be shot any other way.

Congrats Ruari!!!

You've got my fucking childhood in your hands!!

MAKE A MESS OF TOKYO!!!!!!!
