I've just finished cutting with the proxy files of something shot at 2K.
I want to conform to online 2K, but does anyone know if I can do this through REDCINE?

Is there a way around the reported XML probs of REDCINE without using CRIMSON?

Thanks for the reply again. I take it Red Trip isn't free either?!
I can't really afford Crimson at the moment unfortunately...

Or, is there anyway around the "_F.mov" 2K proxies not being supported by FCP yet? (If I could even conform / reconnect my cut to them that would be great.)

I've cut with 1024 x 512 proxies which aren't any use for output you see...

Kaya. is the new software posted on RED.COM (RED Log and Transfer Plugin )
WILL work instead of crimson worlflow ?? or it is something different ?

it allows you a straight forward ProRes workflow...

minor downside is....that you get half the quality...means 2k r3d becomes 1k...so you need to export those shots manully at 2k and relink them----this is temporarly----but then again...i am curious how fcp will read 4k Pro Res files? ---a foreshadowing...

but if you need 2k uncompressed/ dpx sequences of your timeline you need crimson...as long as fcp cant output/read redcine xml`s....but crimson has some other advantages too...checkout the crimsonworkflow forum
