What is the best way to relink 1k transcoded offline files generated with Redrushes with 1080 full debayer masters? Can Clipfinder take an xml from Final cut where 1k quick transcodes were used and then be able to render out 1080 masters from that XML? I only noticed using the camera generated QT proxy files for offline being an option for an XML Clipfinder pull list, 1080 transcode (with 1 light CC), and conform. Is there a way with 1k rendered files that were transcoded to a different folder?

Thanks in advance.

Do this,

1. Export XML from FCP.

2. In Clipfinder, File, "import Subclips from FCP XML"

NOTE: Clipfinder will open the FCP XML with you .mov files as there extension.

3. In Clipfinder, Tools Menu, "Replace MOV with R3D..."

4. Clipfinder will then prompt you to choose the destination folder of your source material, ie. R3D's on your HDD. Once selected hit okay and clipfinder will replace your .mov with .R3D

5. Now you have your source R3D's with just the in and outs of your FCP timeline ready to render to whatever codec you choose.

Cheers!
