1. How will sound follow the picture through the RedCine workflow and how can Protools or other sound apps. conform from the .R3D?

2. When can we do conform in the RedCine from EDL, MXF, AAF and how complex can they be so that the sequences will conform correctly? Can it include speed changes, dissolves, fades, flips or flops?

I can't speak to the audio workflow through RedCine as I haven't played with it enough yet, but...

Not likely that conforms will happen from RedCine. It was designed as a 'one-light' type tool to allow for a baseline graded conversion from r3d, not as a finishing tool. There will be pull-list functionality in RedCine, and there has been discussion from users (not Red) about creating a scripted or plug-in conform tool, but I don't think anyone's posted an actual tool like that (yet).

For reliable finishing you'll want to go to a more dedicated platform like Scratch.

Sounds good John, Im finishing on Baselight so I was just concerned about how to minimize the amount of DPX files needed to be pulled after the edit, looks like this will do it. Any idea when this pull list function will be ready?

Regarding the sound; I would love to see all the ideas of how the sound workflow could be.
