  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Forgive me if this has been covered but does the compression ratio on the Raven increase in quality gradually as frame rates drop? In other words if it does 120fps at 4k in 13:1 would shooting at say 96fps allow for a better compression ratio, 48fps even better, etc.?
Is there any actual breakdown of compression ratios relative to resolution and framerate?

Offhand, divide the frame rate by 9 (roughly).

120 = 13:1
100 = 11:1
90 = 10:1
60 = 7:1
30 = 4:1

etc.

No problem. Also if you're shooting 16:9 you can divide by 10 in the higher frame rates. This is not confirmed yet, but based on the Epic Dragon data rates it should hopefully be the case. A few examples would be 120fps at 12:1 instead of 13:1, or 100fps at 10:1 instead of 11:1.
