  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just found a commercial being online I worked on as DIT. 3 days of shooting + 1 day of reshoot (because of the weather), part of it on our EPIC-M. Camera performed flawlessly, great crew, pleasure to work with. DP was the highly talented Pascal Walder, directed by the one and only Michael Fueter.

Obviously shot with the camera best of the world's , Red EPIC;)
 
I can't say that I like the Migros TV spots, but this one I must admit is very well photographed. Very cinematic.
 
Thanks guys. Again, I only was DIT'ing, consulting on workflow and providing the camera for one of the days. So big props to all the creative team and especially Pascal - he's an amazing DP, and the nicest guy.

Bob, shot on EPIC only. It's just that on one of the days, we shot with our own camera (#1077), where on the other days, the production company had already hired a camera package from Germany.
 
I loved the images, very tasteful. Not exactly sure what they're advertising. Looks like a big cheese wheel to me, but they were sanding it down like wood at one point, and then I found out that Migros is a supermarket, so I'm lost. But hell, the commercial plays in any language. Let them sell cheese!
 
Jason, you haven't seen how a good cheese is being made by hand yet, have you? :) The "sanding down" as you called it I think is rubbing some sort of salty lotion onto it. There can be herbs and other secret ingredients, it's different for every cheese. And the big cheese wheel - well, that's just how a cheese looks like:)

Now as for the commercial. Migros is a supermarket chain with stores all over the country. They buy goods from local farmers and sell it in their local stores. So the story is that people will not have to sell their stuff to some corporate, impersonal company, but instead their goods can stay in the village at the Migros...
 
So schön. I like it a lot. Such a specific feel...so great DITing from your part Tobias. Nice to see something from a high end production company in your beautifull country. I like there tourism commercials a lot.

Love the Swiss refining attitude. Technical challenge in everything.
 
Tobias would you share some of your experiences with the Alura zooms please? Great to see you got your Bomb EVF today!!!
