  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Coming soon to STORM

Thanks Paul, really excited about these developments. With Epic capability in 1.03 will that also work with the Rocket?

Hi Anthony,

We are taking a conservative approach with 1.0v3. Our aim is quality improvements, getting current with the latest RED Rocket drivers, and getting these updates into the hands of the users as quickly as possible. Importing EPIC and HDRx media will be enabled in the upcoming 1.1 release with Beta's starting at the end of May.

Regards,
Paul

What is the release date looking like for STORM 1.0v3? The incompatibility with the current Rocket Firmware is killing me.

Logsheets / Contact sheets: Create logsheets or contact sheets from your daily shoot, choose the data you want to include from STORM's rich metadata database, manage the format, add custom fields, preview how it looks before sending it to the printer or as an email/webpage/pdf, and add your own branding/logo to the top so the director knows who it came from.

The logsheets rule.:001_smile:

Thanks Paul. You guys rock. I'm sure many are looking forward to the 1.1 release :)

Just testing v1.03 now. I tried to open the "pillow fight" R3D shot with Epic and no go?
I can open RED MX files but not Epic files.

Hi Eric, although we are now supporting the 1.4.7 drivers and firmware (so that users don't have to reflash when switching apps) there's currently no Epic support I'm afraid as it's scheduled for Storm 1.1v1.

thanks,
Dan

Thats cool just testing the software here :)

Quicktime & DSLR camera support: Can you see all of your media from your shoot on the same timeline? STORM will be able to import quicktime media including Canon 5D/7D and ARRI Alexa ProRes, import all of the available metadata, provide an effect panel based on what's coming off of the camera, stripe a timecode where necessary, support mixed media formats on a single timeline, and provide the full suite of functionality you would expect from STORM.

Sounds cool. However besides ProRes Alexa shoots ARRIRAW too. It can be dealt with via QuickTime with GlueTools plugin but direct support in Storm would be nice.

Can't wait for 1.1 with Avid and QT support!

Bump! Any news? Any news?! I finally purchased my license to Storm! I can't wait for the next version! I want logs so bad!

Is 1.1 coming out soon?

:D

P.S. Storm is awesome!

Hey, Storm Support, just another (kind and non-demanding tone) check-in on Storm for Windows. Really excited to see what we can do with it.
