  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Combining EPIC and Hdv 60i in same timeline audio suggestions

So we're shooting an A and B camera simultaneous scenes, but the A is an EPIC and the B is a consumer HDV camera shooting 24p, but with an actual 60i base. We are recording separate audio not running to either camera hoping to sync later with a slate. The scenes are long (5-6 pages) so I'm concerned about sync slipping. Is it possible to fix this type of problem with how the epic footage is transcoded, or should the hdv cams footage be reconverted? The hdv footages quality and frame rate doesn't and shouldn't look "cinematic" so keeping the epic footage as "nice" is the preferable situation.

Id love to hear some opinions or experiences.
