  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Colour grading software other than resolve

hummm, i have some footage from a Phantom on my system, transcoded to DNxUncompressed @23.98 tmebase, and we finished at 23.98 no issues
you are saying if we transcoded to a 60Fps timebase, and ran in a 60Fps project there would be an issue? not undestanding why on earth that would be

all my gear is in boxes for the next week while we have the cellings pulled down to re-do the HVAC in the studio, with everyone but me and the CFO working form home, it's the perfect time for it
when i have a functioning system again, and no cleints asking for time, i'll give it a little test

Render the high speed footage in resolve and then do the same thing in either premiere, final cut pro or Avid and you will see the difference. I really want resolve to work since its so simple and powerful but cannot handle high speed footage at this stage.

still not getitng it... i drop 1000Fps footage interpreted as 23.98 on a 23.98 timeline, hit play, it plays
if i render the timeline i only create file identical to the timeline, so why render? what's the deal there? is there an issue that only appears when something renders on your system?
