Did you perform a CC in FCP prior to sending to Color?
I know but once I applied a "temporary" 3 way color correction in FCP to some shots and I forgot to remove it before sending to Color. I did the color in Color and when I sent the sequence back in FCP some clips were blown out, I tried a lot of things with no luck, at the end I discovered I had applied a 3 way CC to that clips, when I removed it all was fine.would never perform a cc in final cut! so no..
how do I check in quicktime?
Monitoring has nothing to do with this...
it looks GREAT in COLOR.. looks like butthole in FCP (same monitor)
Render a shot. Go to the render folder you selected in "project settings". Open the folder containing the rendered .mov file. Open in it with QT.
Are you monitoring through and AJA or Blackmagic card?
how do you set up Color/Aja to use external monitor?
Isn't this with video output in user pref. Using Force RGB is made to force the aja to make the RGB to video out conversion (YUV...). If you don't use this fonction it will be the computer graphic card (ati...) that will perform this task and slow down your system.
