Has any one had the following issue:

Scenario - We are shooting in a studio, tungsten balanced, using factory settings on RED, 200mm Zoom Lens, RED Field Monitor, and Studio Monitor. We are color balanced and ready to shoot, however the color is off, it has a slight purple look around the edges of white. Basically the color is just off. I checked the settings and they were all at zero. I reset to factory settings, calibrated the monitors and restarted, but it still didn't help.

Any suggestions?

Snapshot an R3D frame showing the issue, and if possible a RED Cambook chart too under the same light source and I'll take a look!

Have you tried using a white card to white balanced to?
Sometimes the factory settings of zeroing out does not give you the results you expect or hope for.

But when white balancing using a color chart white or gray, it will give you very pleasing balanced results. Balance In camera and or in REDCine both should give you nice results.

This is the chart i use any color chart should be good.

best of luck

I haven't balance the camera manually yet. I need to buy some charts and go that road. I fixed it in REDCine, but I don't want to rely on that method every time.

Thank you for all for the help.
