This is not directly RED issue but why Apple Color doesn't let you choose to output DPX when a timeline with DPX from FCP was sent to Color?
I just found out that rendering FCP timeline with GlueTools DPX preserves gamma level perfectly, so I thought to place the composited DPX on to the native R3D timeline then recomform in Color to balance everything out.
Aside from this problem, I found out the following.
During the experimentation, I found that sending timeline from FCP to Color, both AJA 10-bit 4:4:4 RGB and Blackmagic 10-bit 4:4:4 RGB would result in gamma shift for about 10% (rising).
