Hi, I just finished a documentary and graded in FCPX. I decided to import the apple process file into Premiere cc2018, latest version, and to my surprise, the footage looked way over saturated. To kind of match, I had to reduce to 90% the saturation inside premiere. I tried converting to h264 in adobe media encoder and it does look correct. But same thing happens in after effects. If anyone have come across this, I would appreciate feedback.
The Jpegs I am posting, both look desaturated compared to the originals do to compression. In premiere it is so saturated that in the vector scope it is outside rec709 range!

I forgot to mention that does are screenshot directly from the viewer of each software. I am using a new MacBook Pro 15 with Radeon pro 555. I noticed that if I open the file in VLC I also see the super saturated look. In Quicktime it appears good. If I attach a monitor with premiere via Blackmagic studio express, it looks great like in FCPX. I also tried uploading to youtube, and it appears good to. So there is something going on with the viewer window on premiere and VLC. I have Sierra installed, and also tried with HIGH SIERRA and no luck. I also opened my other previous generation MacBook Pro, and premiere those look good.

ok, so I just found this:

basically premiere and other programs don't automatically manage color space with this new p3 displays, only final cut can do it. In resolve you would have to go manually and choose output colorspace to P3-DCI , input set to rec.709, only than could you see a correct color reproduction.
