Hey,
I have just finished a few Red projects and am using the offline Color workflow. I am now at the final grading stage and am wondering what the best settings are for my Imac screen??
I have run a custom calibration through System pref>Display>Color> Calibrate using expert. This all worked fine, but there are other presets in the Display>Color section including:
Adobe RGB (1998)
Generic RGB Profile
sRGB IEC61966-2.1
as well as 2 separate Imac profiles that are both different.
Are any of these best for color correction?? I have been told to get a CTR Monitor by some people, but others have said that this will be no use for anything going out to the net or LCD etc. which makes sense.
Surely you do not have to do a separate grade for a TV out, Internet, DVD etc. ?? That seems very inefficient. There must be a middle ground?
What are others using for Red color correction in a Mac workflow? I will buy a separate color grading monitor if anyone can recommend me one. HP seem to do a good one, is this the way to go?? Any help would be very much appreciated!!
