Codec Recording Error

Got my first one today.
3K 2:1, 48 fps. Recording on a Red Drive.
Not a high detail scene... macro shot of a person's eye.
Of course we were on a sunset exterior, losing light fast, and everyone was in a panic when the big red X came up on the screen. We just re-rolled the camera over and over as it happened several times.
Have we learned what causes this???
I wish we could move beyond the bugs!

I don't think there has been any word. Got my first one last week on a musc video for Cyndi Lauper....that was embarrassing for the DIT (me) having to say "I don't know" to her. I thought it was the bass of playback or the club kids hitting the camera...or too much detail in the shot with motion....but no idea really. I hope that gets fixed....

The only reason I know, when I get this X error, is, when I go to the close mode for focus adjustement and forget to turn it of while shooting, try this one.

I've noticed it happen when my camera was really hot...other than that i have no idea.

Don't think it was hot. There was no temp warning and it was the end of day in upstate NY. I had a sweatshirt on even in the sun...
Definitely NOT on the focus zoom.
Curious.
