Do you hear about problems with Mysterium X about codec fault?

We had the problem with 2 Red Mysterium X cameras, 5635 and 5636. Conditions were the same each time:

2K 16:9 Redcode 36 100 fps; build 30.6.0.

Do you have an idea?

Thank you,

Had same problem yesterday. Shooting 2k 90 fps and one of the drives shut down. Changed out a drive and all was OK. Tried to replicate the problem last night and the problem drive recorded OK.
Send your info to RED support. They had me check all the serial numbers on the drives and will be getting back to me today.

I had the same thing going on last night.

Here is a warning. Usually I have to reboot my camera when I get the fault but it was a hockey game and I really didnt want to miss any action. And somehow the camera allowed me not to reboot. It said it was recording. In the end - every clip that was recorded without rebooting does not exist. I have just empty folders. I've even gone at it with Red undead and theres nothing.

So if you get a codec fault- REBOOT!!

I have had this problem only when doing Slo Mo. 3K at 48FPS or 2K at 100FPS etc. I don't know, only guessing here, but I think Codec fault has to do with a write to hard drive problem or a data problem where the limits of data flow are being pushed, again just a guess. I never have the codec fault when I'm at 24FPS in 4K.

Almost every time I've encountered this problem has been due to a bad drive cable or drive. Mostly cables that were not updated cor the code fault issue, and the same with one drive as well.

We're getting codec faults across 3 cameras, 6 drives and 4 cables. All drives and cables have been sent to Red for inspection. We've also returned one camera. Unfortunately the codec faults continue...

Hoping to hear from Sean et al to discuss...

Have reinstalled the latest firmware on each camera, and reformatted each drive with the timebase you will be recording to?

Sorry for my delayed response, I was on an airplane. I just responded to your email copying some of the top dogs in our company to look into the .log files.
Thanks for your patience
