Codec Error 16.3.15 in full Production

It has been demonstrated on many occasions that loud sounds, including screeching tires can cause dropped frames when recording to the red drive. Whether that may also manifest as a "codec error" I have no idea.

As far as I know they would result in frame drops or more likely, the camera to stop.

The vibration sensitivity on the REDdrive isn't related to the codec error at all.

I got to a shoot, set the camera up- got picture- powered down to wait for talent. Powered up- no picture! Frame lines etc. but no picture. No number of power cycling rectified problem but when I tried SMPTE bars the on-screen menu would hang but the status display on the back would exit to main screen. Twas build 15 tho so don't know if it's a similar problem but the camera has been shipped back. Ended up shooting on DigiBeta with a pro 35 in disappointment.
