Hey Reduseres,

I know about the cmos smear about the red epic dragons and read a lot in this forum.
but I was wondering if the cmos smear was getting stronger after I updated my camera?

Never noticed it that strong before

hey stefan,

yeah I know, the cmos smear was always there but never this strong.
this framgrab was on standart olpf and firmware v6.3.17
so I rolled back to v6.0.44 and it got a bit less

it is the same light and setting, just set a few settings in red cine are changed show it a bit more, or do I understand something wrong here?

I'm totally aware that the Epic dragon got cmos smearing, but I never had it that strong and easy before.

mhh lower iso helps to reduce smear a bit as well, but I take it you used the same iso? But yeah I would post some r3d files and get RED to have a look. I would be still surprised if there is a software related issue, but you never know :)
