  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Clipfinder workflow for "wrapped R3D"

Kaku,

Since Clipfinder uses REDline for rendering, all transcoding will be via the new color science as soon as you install the new REDAlert package.
Note that once you have switched to RA 20 you need to edit your look settings in REDAlert in order to accurately judge what the output will look like.
Display in Clipfinder will be updated as soon as the new SDK becomes available.

Cheers,
Hans

Awesome Hans!!! Awesome!!!

The structure of Clipfinder is modular and so flexible so i can use the new color science right away!.

You did it right from the very beginning. :)

Cheers!

Antoine

Conform steps
- in FCP, drag the temp directory onto the Log & Transfer window. Let FCP create wrapped R3Ds

Isn't it better to used the whitepaper method (using media manager) of conforming to the R3D files, that way you only are wrapping the actual content in the sequence, not all of the source files?

Are there advantages of using Clipfinder's conform over FCP's media manager method as outlined in the whitepaper?
