I am trying to reconnect to the R3D proxies using clipfinder/FCP for a send to Color.

Problem is, there are no proxies, I only have the R3Ds... When I do the conform to the R3D's in Clipfinder it gives me a "media not found, using original media"

The ProRes transcodes are named after the R3D with a _H

Any solution?

The main problem is that, even when I tell it to reconnect to the "R3D (Adobe Only)"
It still doesn't reconnect..

what could cause that?

Hans the creator of Clipfinder is super helpful send him an email hes pretty cool to deal with.

I'll give that a shot.

I also tried this, as Premiere Pro CS5 supports R3D natively..

Drag all R3D's to sequence in PP, export "FCP XML" then open that in Color.. I expected everything to link up, but i got an empty sequence..

be careful about the illegal file/folder names in the directory path (by Peter Majtan :))

Hi,

To finish in Color you have to reconnect to the proxies, as you suggested (not to R3Ds).
If there are no proxy files in the .RDC folders that hold your R3D files, you can create proxies by selecting the R3D clips in Clipfinder, then pressing ALT-CMD-A (or selecting "Make Quicktimes" from the Edit menu).
In the conform dialog, you need to set "clip directories" to the root folder that holds your R3Ds.
Feel free to mail me if you need more info or support.

Cheers,
Hans
