Help!!!!!
Just got RED material which I converted to Proress HQ in Clipfinder. Worked quite well with almost all of the shots but some of them the software just doesn't render. Any idea why ? I can open the files via the proxies the camera is making and everything looks fine. It's really strange in my opinion. Tried different setting in clipfinder still not working. It's not even starting rendering the files! If someone had the same problem and fixed it please let me know

Are there by any chance "foreign characters" (umlauts, accented characters, etc.) in the paths to the files ?
Clipfinder uses REDline for rendering and REDline doesn't like "foreign characters".

Cheers,
Hans

Nope no foreign charachters. The only difference I can tell so far is that the directory structre made by the RED itself got 2 folders: I have to double klick this one first A020_0515H7 and than I come to this one A020_0515H7.RDM. in which all the shots are in. Is this making a difference ?

That's correct the R3D's are in a folder called something like A002_C001_0810BQ.RDC. But before you get to this folder you have to open the two I mentioned above. Hmmm still strange, I can render almost ever files apart from one scene. That doesn't make any sense to me. Clipfinder doesn't even start rendering. Got the newest version and tried on several Macs. Is there actually another way to render them apart from clipfinder ?

Let's try the following

- turn on "log render commands" in the preferences
- try to render the problem clip
- open the System Console (Applications / Utilities /Console) and mail me the most recent couple entries relating to Clipfinder and/or REDline

Cheers,
Hans
