I'm pointing ClipFinder 2.2 to the Volume where all of the RDC/R3D folders reside.

CF finds most of the clips just fine.

Some of clips, for example A024_C005_101K2_H.mov exsists and I can open it in finder, but CF says it can not find it and leaves the ProRes in the resulting .xml file.

I've even tried telling ClipFinder to look at the problem folders directly but still no success..

What could this be? Any work arounds?

Yes, strange indeed.

I've run into the problem before and have had to manually import the proxies into a new FCP timeline and send that to color, render the entire R3D (or trim it in Color) and send back to FCP and trim into the sequence..

Hopefully there is a work around though!

I actually ran into a similar problem like this yesterday. Which was odd because I haven't done any software updates. Anyways, I managed to get the files to locate correctly by changing the "Extract Clip Name from" option from <path> to <name>

Dunno if it's an oddity with certain XML files or what.

Hans,

Is there an update to clipfinder coming any time soon?
