Hello,

I wanted to see what you (or your 1st AC's) typically use when cleaning small dust particlas off the glass in front of the sensor.
I noticed a small little dust piece, was timid to use my Rocket / Kimtech. Any special device / tool you guys use that you recommend for doing that?

Thanks in advance!

Check out the products made by VisibleDust.

The Arctic Butterfly is quite effective and safe for removing dust.

Loupe's are great for inspection.

I've used the delkin kit for years. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/778946-REG/Delkin_Devices_DDSS_SCOPE3_SensorScope_3_Cleaning_Kit.html

so i use the loupe to inspect the sensor, it works great because it fits the opening perfectly and then you have the illumination to see the dust.

i there is something in there, which there almost always is, i put the camera at a 45 degree angle ( pointing down) preferably on a head locked down and use the dust blaster http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/541904-REG/Giottos_AA1903_Rocket_Air_Blower.html to get all the dust out by blowing air into the cavity and letting gravity take it out. if that doesn't work then use the fluid and the wand, but be careful not to use too much fluid.

good luck

Arctic Butterfly is great - just be careful when first attaching the brush to the motor - if it's even slightly off centre or not tightly pushed on, it'll spin off into the air and probably land in the dustiest patch of floor (from experience)! Do some short test spins in an enclosed clean environment to check it's centred on the spinner. Do the same check before each use.
