CINEVATE lifetime warranty.....actually not true

Hello guys....long story short
I've sent a Durus follow focus to their headquarter in Canada few weeks ago and actually i got it back with no work done. Answer from Cinevate was taht they dont have parts anymore and the company has a new owner. What strikes me is that this follow focus is still avalable to buy in some placed ( more or less 1000 dollars ) and they claim lifetime warranty. I am so dissapointed. Someone familiar with Canadian laws and who could point me to make a complain ?

Did you buy from Cinevate directly? Are you the original purchaser?

No Bob. Bought from EU, years ago and advertised as lifetime warranty.

Policies in North America are pretty weak in comparison to Europe. That said, Cinevates warranty has definitely changed with the new ownership.

I used to own that FF back in the day too. It wasn't bad for the time, but there is denfitely smaller and lighter options now. Wish you the best.
