Awesome!

What's the flight time? What lenses did you use?

Thanks! Flight time is about 3 minutes. We were using the Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM Ultra-Wide Angle Lens

is there a way to monitor your shots from the ground?

yes, I have a pelican case with a built in monitor inside. This allows me to pan and tilt which you see in some of the shots.

dude this is the best epic copter video :) how did you get signal from epic? really liked the colors

Thanks, I don't think it compares to Brainfarm's work as this was one of our first attempts with the Epic. But it was a smooth process for sure. Just a wireless monitor w/ antennas HDMI from Epic

Cassidy, I am extremely interested in aerial work with the Epic. My big question is: hasn't the FAA grounded all RC flight until 2015? My understanding is that such flights are illegal. Has anything changed in that regard that you know of?

Nope nothing has changed that I know of. I found this info from a forum here:

"Two kinds of aviation law play here, civil and general aviation. Most citizens falls under general aviation and those guidelines have some black and white and some gray areas. You can fly under 400 feet AGL (Above Ground Level) and must have a spotter or maintain line of site of your recreational aircraft to use for fun/entertainment. You may not use it for commercial purposes , or simply put, you cannot make money and fly an RPV."

Also I believe you can fly anywhere you want inside (Buidling, Factory or Museum) because those laws do not apply to USA Airspace. Airspace inside buildings or structures is not a part of the NAS and is therefore unregulated. More info here: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showth...-are&highlight=He+can+fly+the+cinestar+for+fu

I think the fact that we can still do indoor stuff is encouraging.. motocross in an arena or things of that nature. Won't stop me though!
