This is a very interresting head for the Red One or Epic, i had the opportunity to play arround with it a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. I´ll test drive it again when my RED arrives in another 2-3 weeks and will take some photos and post them here

The whole 3 axis kit is about 5.000.- EUR / aprox. 7.500.- USD and is a lot smaller than a Ronford L7 or Cartoni lambda but with the same or even better performance :)

Christopf Bruggaier , the Designer and owner of the company was former Head of Engineering at Sachtler so he knows what he´s doing :)

Christoph is a friend of mine, but i´m not affiliated with the Company Cineparts, but i do hope for a good discount if i can generate some interrest in his "ELLIE" Head in the Reduser community ;)

If anyone is interested in a 3-axis head, I have a Weaver Steadman 3-axis head for sale for $7200. It is a complete kit in two anvil cases. Can support 120lb in 2-axis mode and 96lb in 3-axis mode. If interested, let me know, great to work with on a RED. James Mathers uses it all the time from DCS.

Sachtler Remo One for Red One

Sachtler Remo One for Red One

What do you guys think of Sachtler Remo One motorised head?

It should have enough capacity for a light-weight Red One setup, I think.

Can it be used instead of a manual fluid head?
Does it perform well with long lenses?

Any opinion appreciated.

The Remo would hold a stripped down Red but it´s not a substitude for a fluid head. You can´t control it that fine with a joystick. The Remo is nice for ENG or EFP work but not the weapon of choice for narrative work. Start and Stop behavior of the Remo is not smooth enough and it get´s very noisy at higher speeds.
