Does anybody have recommendations on cinematography conferences or workshops that you recommend?

AS I recall, there's a university in your area with a film school. The ASC has a set of DVD's on lighting that I've looked at, but I prefer hands on classes. UCLA has extension courses on lighting, though that might get a bit expensive, but I fly there for interesting seminars all the time. They have a sound class coming up in two weeks. uclaextension.edu

what lighting should I use to shoot night for night and what rate should I rate the CAMERA for that. Do I essentially need a BLUE FILL to excite the Blue wavelength of the SENSOR
