Cinematography courses

I was asked this question a few days ago and quite frankly I couldn't answer off the bat:

Are there schools (anywhere in the world) that gives intensives courses solely on cinematography? Something from a few months up to a year that doesn't try to teach you all other aspects at once like sound, editing, scriptwriting, directing.

That person was looking for technical and artistical courses for lighting and camera craftwork.

Any suggestions?

AFI offers an MFA in Cinematography but I believe it is a 2-year program.

Here are three excellent low-cost resources that may teach you more than any school. Even if you do go to a school, if you watch/read these resources every day in addition, you'll know a lot more than your classmates will at the end and be much more likely to be ready to work in the real world.

I will 2nd the Maine Workshops. An excellent hands on intensive program, usually one week long in various disciplines, lighting, 16mm, master DP, steadicam etc. Great fun, you learn a lot and meet some great people.

New York Film academy offers one as well.
It is a one year program.
It seems to be a great course! I would take it if I had the time and the $$$$!
