I see sales receiving a sizeable bump for RED , with Hollywood taking a fancy to VR movie making.
I mean look at this rig -
But, apparently the [NSFW] http://www.huccio.com/oculus-porn - [NSFW] output with even high-end rigs such as this, is questionable with seams showing.... etc.
VR film-making is quite an order of magnitude higher to perfect, than normal S3D.
Perhaps RED might take into consideration when (if) they are planning on a made for VR all-in-one Epic-VR s3D camera are:

- A Slim profile with a much higher resolution CCD sensor (or global CMOS sensor to avoid rolling shutter problems)
- Scan-line level sync capability.
- 180 fish eye lens – Yes I’m a fan of capturing two spheres and inverting the back facing one (as long as parallax isn’t large or can be dealt with)
