GROUP BUY ENDS MARCH 19!

Since the reduser community had a very successful group buy with the Cinegears Wireless Focus system, I offered to set up something similar for their yet to be released fingerwheel controller.

This is a rapid group buy for Cinegears' wireless fingerwheel controller. I have used it on a couple productions already this past week and it has performed really well. I've had no issues whatsoever and it's a tiny finger wheel (I believe it's the smallest in it's class). It's PERFECT for gimbal or steadicam use when you're running a one man crew and don't have a focus puller. For gimbal mounting, they give you a couple of options, but I found that mounting it via a grip stick/magic arm gives you a lot more flexibility in terms of it's position.

An AC could even use this fingerwheel controller as the main focus control with the optional large focus knob, which attaches to the finger wheel knob, making it easier to handhold if it's off the camera rig (range up to 300 feet). Or if you don't have a Cinegears system, you could purchase the fingerwheel then add a motor and bam...you've got a complete wireless system. It has an LED readout which displays the focus distance too!

For all of you with the red trigger control cable, the fingerwheel can also engage recording!

The battery lasts around 8 hours...I just made it a habit to charge via a 2/3amp USB charger during lunch, and I never ran out of battery.

Cinegears has now setup a worldwide RMA system/support, which means if you encounter any issues, you won't have to ship it to China for repair!

After the completion of the group buy, payments must be made within 1 week. All orders should ship immediately after ordering, as they are much more prepared now for the influx of orders. This device hasn't officially released yet, so you're all getting it pre-release as well!

The retail is $1200...will sell on DIY film tools for $900 at a sale price, but the group buy tiers is as follows. Savings discount off of sale price.

5 orders - Save $75 - New Price = $825

10 orders - Save $150 - New Price = $750

20+ orders - Save $250 - New Price = $650

Shipping to/within USA is flat rate of $30

International anywhere outside USA is flat rate of $65

The Cinegears Espresso Wireless Fingerwheel Controller Kit Includes everything in the picture above, except the large focus knob and indicator plate.

Large focus knob optional - $80 extra

Here's a complete setup video walking you through the system (prototype version shown) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpR88QhSlM4

Steven will be active again on this thread for any major technical questions that I can't answer. I'm very impressed with this controller and it's now a part of my everyday kit. I gotta get one of those red record trigger cables like you guys all have!

I'll take one Chris.

The End Date for this Group Buy of March 19 is not really very visible in the red lettering, I was looking for it a second time, and still took a while to find it again. Since the time of this group buy is short, I would make that more visible.

I missed the December group buy, so I will be buying a motor to go with this controller, so I wouldn't protest if you offered a motor option with this controller, too.

This combination suits my needs better than what was offered in the December group buy anyway, so not so disappointed I missed the first one.

(Also you haven't added my name to the list yet)

You will definitely be able to add a motor to your purchase Galen. I've added you :001_smile:

1) Does the Espresso controller work wirelessly with anything other than CineGears receivers and/or motors with built in wireless.

2) Can the Espresso controller drive the motors in the servo grips of the Fuji Cabrio and/or Canon Cine-Servo zooms? Does CineGears offer cables that go from the 5 pin ports on the multi-axis receiver to the standard (9 & 12 pin IIRC) ports on servo grips?

I might jump in anyway, but would be helpful to know the above.

Cheers - #19
